NEWS RELEASE Biofriendly’s Green Plus Fuel Catalyst Improves Horsepower in a Test Supervised by Valley Detroit Diesel Allison
The test also included torque and boost results. In all RPM ranges Green Plus improved torque in the tested vehicle. The average improvement found by Valley Detroit Diesel Allison was 11.6%. Additionally, the test results showed a 1.2-psi (average) reduction in boost. As a general rule of thumb, one psi can be equated to a 50o F drop in exhaust temperature. Therefore, based on the results of this test, Green Plus showed a 60o F drop in exhaust temperature. Exhaust temperature correlates to a reduction in NOx production, thus reinforcing other test results, which show significant reductions in NOx when using Green Plus. Under development for over 10 years, Green Plus is a new product that employs nanotechnology (working at the molecular level) to achieve a breakthrough combination of improved fuel economy and reduced emissions. The product, which has undergone rigorous testing in the United States and Europe, has had over 50 million miles of on-road/on-ocean use. Customer experience and tests have shown fuel economy improvements of 6% or more and harmful emissions reductions of 25% or more.
The results of
this test give further support to the horsepower improvement shown in a
similar test performed last year by William Adams, the sole distributor of
Caterpillar engines in Australia. This data is also consistent with the
scientific research showing that Green Plus causes a more linear and cooler
burn and improves the power output per unit of fuel. |
