News Release Biofriendly to Conduct New Test for Texas Low Emission Diesel Current Test Showed 10.1% Reduction in NOx June 16, 2006 – Covina, CA – Biofriendly Corporation announced today that it will conduct a new test to meet the requirements of the Texas Low Emission Diesel program (TxLED). Biofriendly had recently submitted official test results of its Green Plus® liquid fuel combustion catalyst that showed significant reductions in NOx. These results showed NOx reductions of 10.1%; which brought that emission to levels better than required under the TxLED rules. All of the other emissions (Particulate Matter, Carbon Monoxide and Total Hydrocarbons) were at or better than the EPA specification of the test engine. However, due to a substantial increase in humidity during the testing as well as some other factors, the Particulate Matter (PM) results showed an increase over the reference fuel. This caused concern during the review process in spite of the fact that the PM was below the original specification for the test engine. Although there are industry accepted correction factors that Biofriendly believes would bring the PM results in line with the TxLED rule, there is currently no allowance for humidity correction in the TxLED rules. Therefore, Biofriendly has decided to conduct another test where these issues will not be a factor. “Our recent test, which was the fourth official test completed for the State of Texas, showed a significant reduction of the most important emission, the smog-forming Nitrogen Oxides. All of the other emissions were below the original EPA specifications for the test engine,” said Robert W. Carroll, Chairman and CEO of Biofriendly. “We are confident our follow-up test, which we plan to conduct immediately, will produce an unequivocal result.” About Biofriendly Corporation and Green Plus Under development for over 10 years, Green Plus liquid fuel combustion catalyst achieves a breakthrough combination of reduced emissions and improved fuel economy. Green Plus is added in very small quantities to fuel in order to create a more complete, cooler and more linear burn. The product has undergone rigorous testing in the United States and Europe, and has over three billion miles of on-road/on-ocean use. Green Plus is now available commercially worldwide. Green Plus is designed for use in diesel, gasoline and other hydrocarbon-based fuels. This patent-pending product was invented by the same innovators who created Vortoil, the award-winning oil-water separator for offshore oil production.
