How does Green Plus Work?

Arafura Container Ship Fuel Economy Tests

The 45,000 ton container ship Arafura tested Green Plus over a two year period consisting of 25 voyages and more than 100,000 miles. The test included four multi-month periods; the first period consisted of six voyages monitoring Arafura's fuel usage without Green Plus. The second period consisted of nine voyages where the ship' fuel was monitored with Green Plus. During the third period of eight voyages, Green Plus was once again removed to see what would happen, and finally during the two voyage fourth period, Green Plus was re-introduced.
